How To Get Youtube Tv On Apple Tv

To watch YouTube TV on your Apple TV device you first have to download the YouTube TV app on your Apple TV and then activate or sign in to your account using your computer.
YouTube TV is YouTube's premium service, offering premium video streaming without ads and access to live local and cable TV networks, all using the YouTube TV app.
Note that there is a difference between the standard YouTube app and the YouTube TV app on Apple TV.

While YouTube on its own is a great streaming service, YouTube TV is even better because it allows you (at a cost of $49.99 per month) to watch uninterrupted original content and live TV from local and cable networks.

Make sure to note, however, that there is both a YouTube app and a YouTube TV app for Apple TV, so be sure to download the YouTube TV app.

Finding the app and activating it on your account is as quick and easy as accessing any other streaming service on your Apple TV, though you will have to use your computer to activate it.

How to watch YouTube TV on your Apple TV device

While you can stream standard YouTube videos by simply downloading the YouTube app, if you want access to YouTube TV you will need to download the YouTube TV app.

1. Download the YouTube TV app from the App Store on your Apple TV.

2. Go to youtubetv.com/start in a browser and type in the code that will appear on your TV once the app has downloaded.

3. Sign in to your account or sign-up for a new account using your preferred email.

4. On the next page, the website will inform you that you've successfully signed up or signed into YouTube TV. Your Apple TV will now automatically load the YouTube TV home screen.

You've now successfully signed into your account.

Note that the "Home" option at the top of the app works mostly the same as the standard YouTube app, but the "Live" option will show you a listing of the current live TV offerings available.
